Meet Dyslexia Masters’ Scott Timm…
Scott Timm was first introduced to the Davis® Dyslexia Correction Program in 1998. He was moved, as many are, by the Davis success stories of his niece, Jodi, and nephew, Nathan. His firsthand view of their success inspired him to leave a successful career in business management and pursue becoming a certified and licensed Davis® Facilitator.
Having always wondered why he, himself, had struggled with reading comprehension throughout his own academic and adult life, Scott found his answer in the Davis Dyslexia Correction Program himself. “I was not only interested in successfully correcting my own Dyslexia, but came out of the program motivated to help others forego experiencing the same difficulties I had experienced as a student and adult.”
Scott completed his certification and licensing as a Davis Dyslexia Correction Facilitator and established Dyslexia Masters in 2000. Facilitating out of his center in suburban Atlanta, he has assisted clients of all ages in creating their own success stories.
Scott loves working with the diverse personalities and age groups.
“The biggest reward from my work with clients comes in the form of a child that runs across the gym floor just to give you a hug because you helped them gain confidence in their school work, or the short email or note from a parent or student to update me on their successes.”
Success Stories from Dyslexia Masters’ clients…
“Just wanted to say hello and tell you what a good year William had. We just got his CRCT scores and he passed ALL areas! This is a first for him. The last grade period he even got 4 A’s and 2 B’s (though he did have a C in math earlier in the year, this is again really good). Thank you for your program and helping make such a big change in our son’s life!”
-12 year old William’s Mom
“I wanted to let you know how your program has helped in my son’s school life. He is doing much better with a huge improvement in his reading scores and I even caught him up reading a book after bedtime the other night. I never thought I would see that happen! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!”
-9 year old Coleman’s Mom
“Just wanted to tell you that Skylar used her tools in studying her spelling and vocabulary words last night; took her test today and only missed 2 spelling words and 1 vocabulary out of 20! Her teacher wrote “Very Good” and she is thrilled! She even called me at work to tell me!
I know it’s only the first week and we have to keep working and applying what we have learned but I just wanted to thank you so very much for giving us all a new start with this. Her happiness and feeling of success is priceless! Thank you!”
-11 year old Skylar’s Aunt
2 weeks later – A note from Skylar saying, “It’s my birthday today and I am turning 11. I am getting 100’s on my spelling and vocabulary. Thank you for all your help!”
